At Behavioral Family Solutions, LLC, we are committed to providing individualized, high-quality services tailored to the unique needs of every child and family.

Our intake and assessment process is designed to be simple, supportive, and thorough to ensure the best possible start to your child’s therapeutic journey.

1. Initial Contact

Your journey begins when you reach out to us by phone or email. Our friendly intake team will answer any questions you may have and gather basic information to understand your needs and determine service eligibility.

2. Intake Packet

Once initial eligibility is confirmed, we will send you an intake packet to complete.

This includes consent forms, medical and developmental history, and insurance information. Our team is available to assist you through every step of this paperwork process.

3. Insurance Verification & Authorization

We verify your insurance benefits and request authorization for assessment and services.

We work with most major insurance providers and will communicate any out-of-pocket costs or coverage limitations before services begin.

4. Comprehensive Assessment

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will conduct a comprehensive assessment that may include:

  • Direct observation of your child
  • Parent and caregiver interviews
  • Standardized tools such as the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, or Essentials for Living, depending on the child’s needs
  • Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA), if necessary

This evaluation helps us identify your child’s strengths, needs, and appropriate goals for therapy.

5. Individualized Treatment Plan

Following the assessment, the BCBA will develop a personalized ABA treatment plan tailored to your child’s developmental level, learning style, and family priorities.

This plan outlines specific goals, recommended service hours, and therapeutic strategies—often incorporating Natural Environment Teaching (NET) and child-led approaches.

6. Service Start

Once the treatment plan is approved by the caregiver and the funding source, we match your child with a highly trained therapy team, includingRegistered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) under the supervision of a BCBA. Services may begin in your home, school, community, or at our center—based on your preferences and your child’s needs.
